John Mayne founded Palladium Training and Consultancy Ltd in 1999

After a career in engineering and sales consultancy (British Aerospace & Perkin Elmer), John progressed into designing and delivering behaviour skills development with Dale Carnegle Training. His belief that ‘Better People make Better Managers and Leaders’ motivated him to set up Palladium Training and Consultancy Ltd.

Palladium have been an ilm Accredited Provider since 2002 and hold direct claim status to deliver Leadership & Management Qualifications.

As a passionate leadership & management training provider we have worked with both public and private sector organisations, such as Companies House, Intellectual Property Office, MotoNovo Finance, the Aneurin Bevan Health Board, National Composite Centre, National Museum of Wales, Bisley, Transport for Wales, Newydd Housing Association and Castle Leisure, to name but a few.

Palladium delivers a wide range of learning and development events to individuals and groups including Senior Management, Operational Management, Team Leaders and Staff across different functional disciplines.

Each programme we deliver is personalised to meet the requirements of individual organisations and delegates and takes into account existing skills, experience and qualifications. This suppports delegates towards an achievement of personal, team and/or organisational outcomes. This is normally achieved through a blended learning approach of group delivery and individual one to one coaching and mentoring activities, enhancing both confidence and competence back in the workplace.

We continue to design and deliver Leadership and Management development programmes across a wide range of organisations in both the Public and Private Sectors.

Since we opened our doors we have had over 2000 delegates across a range of management levels and market sectors attend an ilm National Qualification or an ilm Endorsed Programme.

Our success can be measured through 98.9% of all delegates who have completed a Qualification.

Cardiff Met were becoming deeply disengaged with previous strategy plans from there learning and teaching of health and wellbeing. Cheryl’s objective was to implement a Department of Humanities mission statement and strategic plan and achieve no less than 80% of agreed KPI’s. This was important as it provided a shared understanding of the direction to the whole department, all staff were involved and had ownership towards the mission statement and core values shared.

To implement a year-long rolling programme called “The Pensions Jigsaw……Putting the Pieces Together”. The aim of the programme was to improve staffs awareness of the Civil Service Pension, and reduce staff anxiety and concern.

To increase traffic to the website by 5% year-on-year (Welsh Government KPI). Achieving this project required the team’s full understanding and involvement. Actions taken were group exercises, and brainstorming sessions which lead to a decision matrix. From this key staff agreed responsibilities and an online communication channel was created to help support the on-going project where all staff members can view and update accordingly. This overcame project challenges and enabled the team to deliver.
