This module provides anyone who needs to understand how to clearly instruct and facilitate staff and colleagues to deliver agreed tasks and/or projects, ensuring both commitment and motivation. It provides a practical opportunities to implement effective communication strategies to win hearts and minds.

Today we have to learn to cope with constant changing work pressures and demands, whilst delivering effective results and customer satisfaction. A one fit approach or style tends to be less effective as you find yourself managing different situations and different people. The aim of this module is to explore a range of styles and provide a selection of tools and techniques that underpin a flexible approach, delivering results with and through people.

The key Objectives of this module are:

    • Identify preferred communication style and preferences of others.
    • Practice effective communication skills to reduce misunderstandings.
    • Implement a non-directive communication style to deal with difficult people/situations.
    • Reflect upon the verbal and non-verbal communication skills, to positively influence behaviours and attitudes.

Delivery and next open module dates

This module is delivered through a full day interactive workshop using a blended learning approach. A post workshop action plan encourage application of the models, tools and techniques back in the work environment.
