John Mayne
Managing Director
Overview
John founded Palladium Training and Consultancy Ltd in 1998, after a career in sales and engineering consultancy with British Aerospace, Perkin Elmer and TAB Products. He provides an energetic and enthusiastic approach to people and organisational development.
John has a proven track record of success and the ability to build trust and rapport with a wide range of people to make a real and tangible difference to an organisation’s performance.
Between 1980 and 1990 he managed a range of engineering projects at British Aerospace, Coltax Aerospace, Hants & Sussex Aviation and the Royal Naval Aircraft Yard at Gosport, Hampshire. In 1990, he became involved in the project management of designing and implementing record management solutions to local government departments. With over 18 years experience in managing, both people and projects, John founded Palladium Training after a short experience with Dale Carnegie Training.
He has a broad experience in the design and delivery of personal skills, and management and leadership development programmes. These engage the learner and generate the motivation and commitment to learn and develop. John has worked closely with multi-national companies, local government and small to medium enterprises, at all levels. Clients include European Aeronautical and Defence Systems (EADS), UK Detention Services, The Patent Office, Companies House, Exel Europe UK Ltd, General Dynamics, Caerphilly County Borough Council, Cardiff City Council and Thames Water Services.
John has worked closely with the Institute of Leadership and Management to ensure the quality of learning and development delivered is of the highest standard, and his focus is achieving measurable business results.
Kim Mayne
Quality Director
Overview
Kim started her career as an engineer with Plessey Radar having gained an HND in electronics at Brooklands University. Following a period of maternity leave she then returned to work in a technical capacity within the education sector. Firstly, in Secondary Education and subsequently, for 14 years at the University of Wales.
Her role at the University included the design and delivery of technical workshops and individual tutorials to undergraduate and post graduate students in Art, Media and Design.
Kim has worked with Palladium since 2007 and is responsible for the design and development of team events. By designing programmes inspired by the creative arts, Palladium’s Team Events have led to improvements in communication, cooperation, creativity and trust. Each team building event is created from a specific brief and is tailor -made by working closely with your organisation to ensure the most appropriate event.
In 2013 Kim became the Quality Director at Palladium. She is responsible for all aspects of IQA and liasing with our accrediting bodies, ilm and The Institute of Leadership & Management .
Alex Mayne
Internal Assesor
Overview
Alex is a highly experienced administration manager who has worked on numerous projects for clients across all sectors.
Alex has undertaken a variety of training programmes to help him to fulfil his Internal Assessor role at Palladium. These consist of:
- ilm Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management
- Business Administration Diploma
Gail Ward
Internal Assesor
Overview
Gail is a professional, experienced human resources manager, and assessor. She specialises in the assessment of coaching, motivational and development accreditation across all levels of professional management. She has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Gail has provided coaching, mentoring and assignment support for in excess of 20 years, encouraging candidates to excel at their qualifications.
Gail has undertaken a variety of training programmes to assist her in her role. These include:
- Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
- NVQ Assessor, Coaching Diploma
